What are the common questions asked during a job interview?

There are a few questions that are frequently asked. And some may sound plain but, finding a proper answer can be tricky, above all when you go unprepared.

Tell me about yourself

The tricky part is to choose what to tell! Relevant experience & education could be a good idea. Actually, any relevant information about yourself related to the position you are applying for.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

I find this question quite interesting and relevant for a job interview.

Here, your interviewer expects facts.

Tell me about a time you made a mistake, what did you do?

That’s a difficult one, I think.

It is advised to tell a fact. Moreover put the emphasis on what this mistake has tought (i-e the lesson you have learnt).

How you have adapted your way of working, your behaviour…

Describe a difficult situation you’ve faced and how you handled it.

Choose a situation in which you stayed calm despite the stressful goals or tense atmosphere and which ended up well.

Tell me 3 weaknesses and 3 strengths that you have.

Personnaly, I hate this question. And I am not sure it is efficient in a job interview, as it seems to me, anyone prepared for an job interview has quite similar answer. But I would like to be proved wrong.
